Edwin Lefèvre (1871-1943)
wrote 8 books during his writing career. Of these 8 titles 'Reminiscences
of a Stock Operator' is not only regarded as his finest work
but quite probably the most widely read book by those involved
in the financial community.
Lefèvre also worked as
a journalist and a statesman. In 1901 a collection of his short
stories were published entitled "Wall Street Stories”.
During the 1909-1913 presidency of William H. Taft, he was appointed
as an Ambassador of the United States and spent time in Italy,
Spain and France.
