objective of maximising returns. A hedge fund pools private investors’
funds and is allocated into investment opportunities by professional
fund managers. US laws insist that the majority of hedge fund
members earn a certain amount per annum and have a net worth of
$1 million. |

name is derived from the first ‘hedge funds’ who attempted
to hedge risk in a bear market with their ability to short
stock. |
