Pullback
This term describes a slight price retracement from the high or low of a trend. As well as a retracement volume and momentum are also likely to tail off.
Pullbacks are often seen as healthy price action as weak positions are liquidated and some short-term traders open counter-trend trades.
They are often regarded as opportunities to enter trends at attractive prices.
Traders must be aware that pullbacks do not turn into full-blown reversals.
