trend is the general direction of the price of an asset. Trends
can be upward, downward or sideways and they can appear on any
time scale i.e. short, medium or long term. |

is generally believed that you should trade with the trend (in
the same direction). Based on the example above it would be
more desirable to take long
positions as apposed to shorts. |
