These currency exchange rates are the most heavily traded by banks, multinational corporations, individual speculators and other financial institutions. The rates are supported by a real-time, live feed so you will be seeing the most recent prices. These exchange rates include the EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY and the USD/CHF which are often regarded as the four ‘big’ currency pairs. Currency traders will be able to trade at or around these prices, depending on your broker, but if you wish to physically exchange foreign currencies then you are likely to be charged commission by your currency exchange agent. This means that you will be quoted slightly different prices to the ones you see here. Nevertheless this is still an excellent way of keeping tabs on the major currencies.
