Tue Jan 22	NTS	BOJ Governor Fukui Speaks - Fukui will hold the press conference following the BOJ Interest Rate Announcement earlier in the day, Tokyo. Traders watch this press conference very closely because the rate announcement itself is void of any commentary. The idea is that Fukui will give insight into the decision and may drop clues to future rate changes.
	13:00	US Treasury Secretary Paulson Speaks - Paulson will speak about the US economy and the housing market, Washington DC.
	13:20	Emergency FOMC Interest Rate Statement - In an unscheduled announcement the FOMC slashes both the Fed Funds and Discount rates by 0.75%. The aim of this decision is to stave off recession in the US. However, some economists believe that this rate cut is proof the Fed expect a recession and are moving to reduce its severity.
	19:00	BOE Governor King Speaks - King will give a speech at the Ashton Gate Stadium, Bristol.
Wed Jan 23	08:00	ECB President Trichet Speaks - Trichet will speak about financial services regulation and antitrust enforcement at the annual ECON meeting with national parliaments, Brussels.
Thu Jan 24	16:15	BOC Governor Dodge Speaks - Dodge and Senior Deputy Governor Paul Jenkins, will hold a press conference after the release of the BOC Monetary Policy Report, Ottawa.
	16:20	US Treasury Secretary Paulson Speaks - Paulson will speak about risk and the financial system at the World Economic Forum, Switzerland.
	16:30	ECB President Trichet Speaks - Trichet will speak about risk and the financial system at the World Economic Forum, Switzerland.
	19:30	Alan Greenspan Speaks - Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan will speak about the US economy, Vancouver. Audience questions expected.
